Nadia Marzouki obtained her PhD in political science from Sciences PO in Paris.  She is a research fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS).  She is the author of Islam: An American Religion (Columbia University Press), and is the co-editor, with Oliver Roy, of Religious Conversions in the Mediterranean World (2013) and, with Duncan McDonnell and Oliver Roy, of Saving the People: How Populist Parties Hijack Religion (2016).
