Imam Sami Shamma, a Muslim Chaplain in the Connecticut State Prison System will speak on the intersectionality of being a Muslim, a prisoner, and culturally different in post-9/11 & post-Trump America. Muslims make up 10% of the US Prison population and 1% of the total US population.
