Speculative Pleasures, ‘The Archive’ and a Barbecue; Or, Who Are Obour Tanner and Cesar Lyndon

A lecture on two formerly enslaved people, Obour Tanner and Cesar Lyndon and why they matter in the eighteenth-century “archive.” 

Tara A. Bynum, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of African American Literature and Culture at Hampshire College. She is author of the forthcoming book, Reading Pleasures (University of Illinois Press, New Black Studies Series).
